Graduation Year: 1974

John is a 1974 graduate of Bloom-Carroll High School where he earned valedictorian honors in his graduating class. Athletically, John earned letters in baseball, football, basketball, and cross country. He was also a true student athlete, and was a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, and class president, and a member of the marching and concert bands. He starred on the baseball field, earning all league honors 3 times and all-Ohio honors in 1974, leading that team to BC’s first state appearance and a state runner-up finish. After graduation, he earned a tryout for the Milwaukee Brewers in Milwaukee’s County Stadium. He pursued careers in the world of golf, working at multiple golf courses over a 15 year period. He currently works in the sign industry in one of the fastest growing cities in America. John has lived on both coasts and traveled the country in his RV with his wife, settling in St. George, Utah, and their retirement destination. Due to the distance and John’s choice never to fly, he was not able to make here to celebrate with us this evening but is honored by his induction to our Hall of Fame.
